FAQ

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to visit Costa Rica?
The dry season, from December to April, is the most popular for beaches and sunshine. The green season, May to November, offers lush landscapes, fewer crowds and better prices. We operate private transfers and tours year-round, rain or shine.
How much does a private transfer from SJO Airport to La Fortuna cost?
A private transfer from San José (SJO) Airport to La Fortuna/Arenal starts from around US$130–160 per vehicle, not per person, for up to 4–5 passengers. The exact fare depends on group size and luggage. Request a free quote and we confirm within 2 hours.
Can I pay in US dollars?
Yes. We accept US dollars and Costa Rican colones. US dollars are widely used across the country. You can pay your driver directly, and we also arrange bank transfer or card payment in advance for larger groups and tours.
Do you provide baby and child car seats?
Yes. We provide baby and booster seats free of charge when you request them at booking. Just tell us the children’s ages and weights in the notes field so the correct seat is installed and safely secured before pickup.
How long is the drive to Monteverde?
From San José (SJO) the drive to Monteverde takes about 3 to 3.5 hours; from La Fortuna it is roughly 3 hours around Lake Arenal. Roads are partly winding, so we plan comfort stops. A private vehicle is the fastest, most direct option.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled service are free of charge. Within 24 hours, a partial fee may apply depending on the service. Changes to date or time are usually free subject to availability. Contact us as early as possible.
How many passengers fit in your vans?
Our fleet ranges from cars for 1–4 passengers to vans and minibuses for 8, 12 and up to 19+ passengers, all air-conditioned. We match the vehicle to your group size and luggage, so families and larger groups travel together comfortably.
How does airport pickup work?
Your driver waits in the arrivals area holding a sign with your name. We monitor your flight, so delays are no problem. Just send your flight number when booking. The driver helps with luggage and takes you directly to your destination.
